Incentive Travel Industry Index – the Canada Story

Date / Time: Sunday 26-Jan / 4:00 PM – 4:45 PM

Session Description

The Incentive Travel Industry Index 2019, jointly produced by FICP, IRF & SITE, received submissions from over 2,500 incentive travel professionals all over the world. Generic results were shared with the Business Events industry at IMEX in Las Vegas in September. They pointed to a robust, rapidly maturing industry sector. Since then SITE Foundation has commissioned regional reports for Europe and Asia as well as a sectoral report on the DMC business. These regional reports make fascinating reading revealing how, in the incentive travel industry, one size definitely does not fit all! Join SITE President, Jenn Glynn, and Chief Marketing Officer, Pádraic Gilligan, for look into the Canada story and how it compares and contrasts with its nearest neighbour.

The Bangkok Manifesto, created January 2019 in Thailand, consists of 10 statements on the nature, purpose, and direction of incentive travel. This was a work of strict collaboration, the content crowdsourced and confirmed with active participation from our delegates in this process over several days at our annual conference.
Now it is YOUR turn to participate in the creation of The Vancouver Manifesto, building upon the conversations started in Bangkok around sustainability, destinations, team work, and social responsibility. Join us in our Open Space Forums as industry leaders open the floor to hear from YOU as you play your part in shaping the future of the incentive travel industry.
