If you are renting a car and making your own way to the hotel, here are the directions to save on your data roaming fees.

Leaving the airport, follow signs to City Centre via Granville Street. Follow Granville St. until you have crossed the Granville St. Bridge and take the exit for BC 99 N to turn onto Drake St. (first stoplight after the Granville St. Bridge). Follow Drake St. for five blocks until you reach Pacific Blvd. Turn left onto Pacific Blvd then proceed for 1 kilometer. As you near BC Place Stadium, turn left onto Smithe Street and you will have arrived to JW Marriott Parq Vancouver. If coming over the Cambie St. Bridge, take a left onto Expo Blvd., then take a left onto Nelson St. and left onto Pacific Blvd to Smithe Street.

How do I know if I submitted my registration correctly?

Once your registration is submitted, you will receive an on-screen confirmation, as well as an email communication including your confirmation number. Please check your spam and junk folders.

How do I make changes to my registration?

Please log in to your registration using your email and unique confirmation number provided in your confirmation email. Once logged in, you will be able to view, modify, and add details to your registration.

What should I do If I did not receive a registration confirmation?

If you do not receive a confirmation email, it may indicate that required fields on the registration form have been left blank. Please ensure that your registration is complete and contact the SITE Global Conference Team if you need further assistance. See contact details above.

How do I book my hotel?

SITE Global Conference has a room block and discounted rate with the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver and the adjacent Douglas Hotel. Upon completion of your registration, you will receive a booking link to our room block in your confirmation email. We thank you for supporting our host hotel.

What are the check-in and check-out times at the hotel?

Check-in is 15h00 (3pm); check-out is 12h00.

May I extend my stay?

Do I need a visa to enter Canada, or the simpler electronic Travel Authorization?

While Canada is a very friendly country, there are specific entry requirements depending on where you are traveling from. You may be required to complete an online eTA – electronic travel authorization for $7 or you may require a visa. CLICK HERE to apply.

What airport should I plan to fly into?

YVR, Vancouver International Airport, located approximately 30 minutes from downtown.

Will transportation be arranged between the hotel and airport?

Transportation to the hotel upon arrival is not included and is at the discretion of the attendee. See hotel website for more information. The easiest public transportation is the SkyTrain from YVR to the Yaletown Roundhouse Station (includes a 300-metre walk.) Taxis are also available immediately outside the arrivals area.

Transportation to the airport for Tuesday, January 28 departures is available by Group Shuttle from the hotel. Specific times to be confirmed. Transfers for departures on all other dates will be the participant’s responsibility.

What is the event attire?

Business attire is suggested for the conference sessions. Comfortable professional attire is appropriate for the evening events, all of which are inside. Please pack winter layers for transfers and for outdoor activities chosen during registration.

What will the weather be like?

The weather in Vancouver in January is usually winter pleasant with daytime temperatures averaging 5˚C / 40˚F and a chance of rain or snow.

Which currency and credit cards are accepted in Vancouver?

The local currency in Vancouver is Canadian Dollars/CAD. All major credit cards are accepted in Canada; smaller establishments may only accept Visa and Mastercard. ATMS are generally safe, simple to use, and easily located. Please note that most ATMs charge a small fee per withdrawal.
